Sackets Cantina opened in late summer
of 2005 and is the perfect complement to the fine dining
at Sackets Harbor Brewing Company and excellent Italian
offerings Good Fellos. Our traditional Mexican menu
features all the usual Mexican favorites as well as
some excellent new Mexican creations from Chef Karin.
When you walk in the door our completely remodeled
historic building expresses the bright colors and ambiance
of Old Mexico. Our festive atmosphere is enhanced by
the copper covered bar with its unique ceiling fan and
light fixtures. Our special blender serves up great
Margaritas and we offer a wide selection of liquor as
well as beer and good wine.
Our signature dish is the “Molcajete” which
is seldom, if ever, seen in American Mexican restaurants.
This lava, pig shaped bowl is heated and used to serve
delectable meat, chicken and seafood combinations with
peppers and onions nested in hot Mexican cheese. It
is our own “Mexican Fondue” and a special
treat found only at Sackets Cantina.
The Cantina will be closed this year from September to May.
Come in then and warm up with some spicy Mexican treats.
