The Sackets Harbor Brewing Company opened at 212 W. Main Street in Sackets Harbor, NY in May of 1996 in the former historic railroad station. That year we sold beer out of the Sackets Harbor Pub, and began selling kegs of beer to other restaurants in the area. The beer was brewed onsite in an addition built on the front of the restaurant which was for many years a railroad depot.

As our beer became more and more popular, in 1997 we began working with Ten Springs Brewing Company in Saratoga Springs, NY in order to brew enough of our award winning 1812 Ale to be sold to restaurants, bars and retail stores throughout the North Country and Central New York. SHBC sells about 46,500 gallons of beer per year. About 15,500 of those gallons are still produced at the Sackets Harbor location.

In January of 2006 we proudly began sales of our new Thousand Island Pale Ale in kegs and bottles. Also in 2006 are also expanding our distribution to a much larger area in the North East and in New York City. Our aim is to make our locally popular brews available to a much larger market and the folks that visit our beautiful area and know and enjoy our restaurants and our beer.
